What DAP does iichan/wakachan use?

I use a 3g iPod nano 8GB. Very good, but the only 'new feature' I like is video playback (in actual good quality).

None. That shit is for bloody faggots.

DQN aside, I use an 8 GB iPod nano, without the fancy video feature heh. I actually don't need it. I only use it when I'm either outside and I want to listen to something, or when I'm playing a full-screen game that has boring sounds and I want to hear music without wasting system resources turning on a media player. I don't want to watch videos when I'm not at home. o_o

Samsung YPU2J. 1 gig, peice of shit really, but it was cheap and small, so I'm not really complaining. Sounds the same as an iPod anyway, and doesn't brick like sansas.

I got a Sansa e250 and put Rockbox on it (cause the default firmware sucks.) Works out quite nicely.

ipod is like maid computer case
You buy the feeling and it makes you feel good
It may not support much video and audio format
Its selection menu is enjoyable

60GiB ipod video (5th gen), with rockbox. Too bad rockbox kills the battery (~8 hrs, tops), otherwise, it's great.

I have an old iPod Nano with Rockbox

It only gets about eight hours or so of continuous playback but I don't know how old it is as I claimed it after it was in the lost and found bin at a local hotel for lord knows how long

I read that the battery life of unmodified 1g models is 14 hours so that may say something about its age

By the way if your player supports Rockbox and you don't yet have it installed, get it

Just can't bear to use a low memory media player?

Sansa user here.
my model is a e260.

>>8 I'd install Rockbox, but my 60gb video came with a warranty. This is actually a good place to ask, will Rockbox void said warranty?

maybe, if you were to hand it over with rockbox. but unless you really fuck it up, you can just reformat it with itunes. i've done so twice to claim my warranty.

Samsung YP-Z5.
All metal case. I've dropped it countless times with no damage. Supports English/Japanese/Korean filenames/tags and more. Can be used as a normal flashdrive (with its data cable) which means no iTunes/WMP to mess with.

I use a Pure DAB 2000. It's a pocket DAB radio that has a record facility onto SD cards (in MP2 format). Via the same method, it plays MP3s (track number relative to SD card capacity).

Zen stone; got it free on newegg this past xmas when I bought an external HD. Great player when you fill it with music you know you want to hear and then just put it on random.

I use a really old ALBA "mp3128nd1" mp3 player. It uses a AAA battery and has only 128MB of space, but I like it because it's easy to use and starts immediately.
