Been thinking about hooking up with a new console...

Though not sure what I should go with, i'm leaning towards a PS3, just due to the fact it has armoured core 4 on it <3

But, I'll most likely be buying it off a hong-kong wholesaler, and yeah the PS range has been known for breaking down and whatnot..

I've been told that FFXIII will not be a PS exclusive, but well, theres still suikoden, and yeah, armoured core+suikoden is almost enough to entice me into buying.

Add to the fact that online play is free on the PS3 (gotta supply your own line, but eh) its more expensive, but the line of games on it seem to be quite enticing.

With that said, does anyone know about the pal/ntsc compatability of the machine, and what about about region controls ect?

Are sony still persuing their bastardry of not making a worldwide system, or am I cool with just buying the HK version even though I live in a PAL country?

AC4 got released on the 360 as well. Sony lost the exclusive to it.

I own both. And as a destestable Nintendo fanboy I hold no biased torch toward either of these systems: but when push comes to shove I have to reccomend the 360. I don't even play online at all and I have to say it has a better price and better games.

Both the ps3 and the xbox have their share of technical flaws so either way you're screwed on that. Just don't keep it on your rug and the red ring of death shouldn't be a problem, and even then Nyko makes an external cooler.

PS: AC4 is awesome.
