SAGE!

The SAGE Endec, still manufactured until earlier this year, runs on a Z80. The Z80 still lives on in hundreds if not thousands of devices -- it's just as widespread and well supported as x86!

We use those at my job, since I'm in the broadcasting industry. Still works fine.

Actually it was of polish design. The english at Bletchley Park had no clue about how to defeat enigma until the polish handed them all their notes.

>> No.8

What the Polish did was hand over one Enigma machine and their notes about it (and the agent was almost too late for the meeting!). They did not design the codebreaker.

But I found this website through geekologie.com and the audio is the only thing that's letting me get to sleep lately. I'm going to try and rip it with VLC as I've heard it works best... Any suggestions on getting the audio extracted to a stand-alone MP3 in the easiest and best way possible would be appreciated.

This is a new electronics product that are designed to improved the strength of "PC muscle". Strong PC muscle is the key to last longer in bed.

So what does it, you know... do?

>> No.4

It's a timer for PC muscle exercises.

The chip is a PIC, running on the internal oscillator for timing.

Geez, all that work just to have the switch positions all fouled up...

>> No.5

What?

>> No.6

Several switches are in the wrong positions for descent. (The event timer is off, and should not be. The crosshair display shows hover when it should not.)

Some switches are in impossible positions. (The timer slew switches and RCS enable switches are springloaded to center.)

Talkbacks that should be green are barberpoled. (The ASCENT helium supply is green while the DESCENT helium supply is barberpoled.)

Still a pretty picture though ^_^

>> No.7

Holy dog, man, that's some impressive detailed knowledge of flight instrumentation right there if true.

Thought about writing the author? He may want to mark up the errors on his site.

It's because I'm part of an Apollo historical research project. I know way more than my fair share. ^_^ We have the most detailed C/SM simulation in existence right now, since NASA no longer has the Apollo training simulators. In a few months we'll surpass even those. We're running the original software with original checklists, and we're just about ready to finish Apollo 7.

It would be mean to give the guy shit, especially since the book appears to be already published, so I'll leave it alone.

So I moved in to College a little while ago, and I noticed that the college network seems to block the tracker sites used for torrents. Is there any way I can get around that? <-- Is to lazy to ask the RCC.

Try translating the site via google's translator.

No. You'll be able get the torrent, but your tracker client won't be able to connect to the tracker anyway.
